JOB TITLE: Production Worker – KBT Helper

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for chemical production and cloth production by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Rolls and boxes cloth
Puts away raw cloth and cores in proper location
Notch PVC tubes for cloth used in the lane machine
Staples plug into cardboard core for cloth used in the lane machine
Use assigned work orders to know what items/products need to be made.
Keep work area clean daily and week
Assist others as needed in the department
Maintains a Forklift License once obtained
Maintains a productivity rate of a minimum of 100%
Clocked in time into Visual (Work Orders and/or Detailed Indirect Entry) when comparing to paid work hours is a min of 80%.
Does all required work within Kegel’s Quality Policy
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
No prior experience or training.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read a tape measure
Run drill press/notcher once trained
Follow simple instructions
Read English
Self‐motivated individual
Convert feet into yards
Forklift License or able to obtain one before 90 days is up
COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will be trained on site using
employer’s software for clocking in and out of work orders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Continually required to stand for long periods of time (6‐8 hours)
Continually required to walk
Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
Continually required to talk or hear
Continually work near moving mechanical parts
The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with the ability to push/pull 300 pounds using equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: (Close vision; Distance vision; Depth
perception and ability to adjust focus)
