SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for verifying and ensuring the quality of current Kegel lane conditioners as well as researching new products and techniques for improving and enhancing the bowling experience.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lane testing duties include overseeing all on lane-testing, coordinating and participating in on-lane testing, management and care of testing lanes, equipment, and resources, reading and analyzing ball motion, carry down, pattern breakdown, and other collected data to ensure quality and consistency of products.

  • Ensure operational, quality, and product testing goals are met.

  • Lab testing duties include analytical testing of chemical products using lab instruments, analysis and comparison of data to ensure quality control specifications are met, and following appropriate lab procedures to perform tests and collect data.

  • Research duties include developing new techniques and procedures for evaluation of new chemical technologies, attending tournaments/events to conduct research, evaluate, and study product performance in different environments, and providing feedback on performance of products to formulation staff.

  • Build strong connections with both professional and amateur bowlers.

  • Report on collected data and analysis of data as required.

  • Assist in lab and production as needed

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science related field or similar in Management, or Marketing; professional bowling or high-level amateur bowling experience with exceptional performance is also required.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of: Microsoft office, including Excel; Internet Software; Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); and basic computer skills.

  • Must be able to throw a bowling ball accurately and repeatedly for an extended period of time.

  • Must be able to assess ball reaction on lane and convey information to appropriate personnel.

  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to insure safety and reliability in a lab setting.

  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Kegel Lane Conditioning machines, and general lab equipment.
